Please join me in supporting Angela Engel for Colorado Senate District 26. It is difficult to live in District 26 for any length of time and not know Angela. During my run for Colorado House District 38 this past year, Angela was generous in sharing her campaign experience and guidance as part of her ongoing efforts to support great local Democratic candidates. I found her willingness to be so open refreshingly authentic. Although I was aware of Angela and her efforts before my run, I was honored to get to know her more deeply and personally during my campaign.

We first met at a local gathering of community leaders. Even within that group of formidable and knowledgeable women, Angela stood out. I knew that she would be a valuable ally in our shared commitment to children and I looked to her as a mentor in my own political work. I also attended Angela’s house education meetings. This past election cycle, her non-profit Uniting4Kids, hosted candidates in the Democratic primary to discuss education. At the Jared Polis event, I was able to network with other education advocates and meet other parents of special needs children.

My connection with Angela continues. She reaches everyone she meets with this same kind of openness and commitment to help. I know that I am not the only person she has had a profound effect on.

Angela’s combined attributes of collaboration, knowledge and experience make her a force for good. From the little children to our wise elders, we are better for her service and she is beloved member of our community. That is why I am whole-heartedly endorsing Angela Engel for Colorado Senate District 26.  I invite you to do the same on January 5th when you appoint our next Senator.
